- May lift surface oil
- May lift buildup
Your guide to Vue Hydrocolloid patches
How they work. How to use them.
WHAT THE PATCHES DO, AND DON'T DO
Understanding the mechanics helps set the right expectations.
What they DO
- Absorb excess oil overnight
- Help lift surface buildup
- Protect against touching & picking
- Leave skin feeling smoother
- Work best with consistent use
What they DON'T
- Remove deep blockages overnight
- Stop pores from producing oil
- Work on damp skin
- Replace cleansing
- Deliver instant results
How To Use
For the best results, consistency and correct application matter.
Step 1: Double cleanse
Start with an oil cleanser, then follow with a water based cleanser.
Step 2: Salicylic acid (optional)
Use a 2% salicylic acid exfoliant a few times per week, not on patch nights. It helps loosen buildup over time, which the patches can then absorb.
Step 3: Apply to dry skin
Apply only to completely dry skin with no skincare underneath. Press firmly to seal.
Step 4: Leave on for 6–8 hours
Overnight is ideal. The longer it sits, the more it absorbs. If needed, use warm water around the edges for easier removal.
Step 5: Use consistently
Use 1 to 2 times per week for best results. This is not a one time fix, consistency keeps pores looking clearer over time.
Results Take Time

A subtle first step, not a transformation.

Day 60*

Hydrocolloid patches are not a one-time fix.
Best results come with a routine and consistent use.
Got questions?
1 to 2 times per week is recommended as part of a routine.
For very congested pores, the patches can be used more frequently as needed while allowing the skin to rest between uses.
Avoid applying skincare underneath the patch, including active treatments, moisturizer, or toner.
Apply only to clean, completely dry skin.
The patch does not remove blackheads like a pore strip does.
Blackheads form when oil and dead skin collect inside the pore and become exposed to air.
Our hydrocolloid patches help absorb excess oil and surface buildup. With regular use, this can help reduce the look of existing blackheads and support clearer looking pores over time.
The nose patch is designed specifically for the shape, oiliness, and pore concerns of the nose.
For other areas prone to oiliness, use our Chin and Forehead Patches.
For acne related concerns such as pimples or whiteheads, use our Spot or Surface Patches. They help absorb fluid from the blemish, protect the area from picking and outside irritation, and support faster healing.
